Storm on the way home
Hugh was working today at Window on the Wetlands[see this link] so I met him there for lunch. I met his workmate Wendy.

On the way home we had to drive through
some spectacular thunderstorms.

Wildlife on the front porch
Each night there are always many of these geckos.
Tonight one was available for a good closeup!

I have shown the little creature in relation to the house bricks and then in macroview

And cropped again..

They are there each night so they will have to get used to me..

A great day for sailing
I got a phone call this morning, would I like to go sailing? Very much yes! So I joined Julie, Margaret, David and Craig on Adam Gollow's 10.4 metre (34 foot) catamaran Khamsin.

We motored out through the Cullen Bay lock and
had a really good afternoon's sail.

We had fun for something like 4 hours sailing around Darwin Harbour.

At times it was quite hot but when we got a good wind it was pleasant to be out on the water.

The spinnaker provided dramatic colour.

I could take a lot more of this!!

The owner,Adam, had an eager and skilled crew (except for yours truly) so occasionally he was able to relax.
