This was at the ALIA Top End garden party in the Chinese Gardens at the Casuarina campus of the Charles Darwin University.

I moved to a new suburb, Karama recently, this is the front of my unit.

This is what the Green Ant nest looks like when nearly completed.

This nest is just about finished being constructed. Having researched its construction, it appears the the green tree ant (Oecophylla smarigdina)glues together individual leaves with silk produced by their larvae. I must be careful not to get my hair full of angry Green Ants when going through the gate!
