Out on the water Darwin Sailing Club Fannie Bay

I had my first chance to get out on the water and take photographs of the racing. John, one of the Rescue boat crew was my guide.

Frog on the road

With lots of rain today the neighborhood has a deafening chorus tonight of Green Tree frogs. Click here for the sound they make.
This one was sitting in the street


Although usually green, it can be brown (like this one), blue or almost black.

Dinner desserts at Karawa

Hugh and Keira and I joined Jayshree and Peter at the Karawa Training Restaurant.
It was a good night and the food was great, especially the deserts!

Birds in the carpark

I saw Rufous-banded Honeyeaters (Conopophila albogularis) and Double-barred Finches (Taeniopygia bichenovii) near my car.

Seen together

I had not seen the Curlews as a pair all week, so was delighted this morning when this one came running towards me hissing.

Our porch companions

There are always at least half a dozen of these geckos on our front porch.

New look for Hugh

Not sure about the new haircut that Hugh had! I guess it's cool,I shaved my beard off so I shouldn't comment.

Hughies first week
