Saturday evening at the Darwin Sailing Club

A return to the Darwin Sailing Club and Hugh met Jayshree and Peter for the first time.
We joined some of the sailing fraternity including Julie and Ross.

Hugh will work on getting his monster ute looking good as funds allow.

ALIA Top End Garden Party July 2007

A pleasant evening at the ALIA Top End Garden Party which was held in the Chinese Gardens at Charles Darwin University with a really good attendance from the library and information sector of Darwin.
Great networking opportunity and nice nibbles and drinks as the sunset.

Sunday at Mindil

After some time in the pool at home, Hugh and I went to Mindil. Hugh enjoyed a swim in the city (something a lot of locals won't do!) and we then had a feast of food and music. The sunset was great, a Mindil tradition...

Our house

Hugh starts his new job today and on Saturday we moved to our house in one of the northern suburbs of Darwin, quite near to the university. The pool will be great when the "buildup" hits us in a few months time.

Corroboree Tavern

This is Brutus one of the locals at the Corroboree Park Tavern! He is a 4 metre Saltwater crocodile.

Back to the bush

I know I'm back in the Territory having made my first trip to Fogg Dam and then Corroboree Park Tavern for 2007.
It was interesting to see this Egret eating a frog, something that I have had as a cartoon etc. The idea of not giving up was a bit late for this frog! See this link for my comments last year





Hugh is loving the warmth of Darwin, he is swimming most days, even in the sea. He gave the water of Fogg Dam a miss though.
