This is the photo blog of Stephen Michael Barnett, now working in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
It is a grab bag of things, personal interests etc illustrated with my digital photos.
Jessie and Rod invited colleague Sharon and myself out to their property at Howard Springs for a Sunday evening meal. As usual the garden looked a treat and it was nice also to catch up with dear old Annie the Golden Retriever. She is looking good for her 15 + years.
Victor Kovalenko, the head Yachting Australia High Performance Coach, and coach of the Olympic team, visited the Darwin Sailing Club on Friday night Members of the management committee had an opportunity to meet Victor for a quick informal gathering. The Club also arranged for the YNT Development squad to also be present to meet with Victor.I was asked this week to take photos at the club and it was a pleasure to do so.
I spent the morning ironing etc, then a trip out to my storage unit. I noticed this fairly spectacular cloud formation. In a few weeks time they may be more spectacular during the buildup but not a lot of rain.. Then it was the usual trip to Mindil Beach.I found an interesting article about the history of the area the other day, see this schoolboy article link from 1999.
Mark Hoffman aka Mark Didge or eMDee always pulls a large crowd. You can learn more about his work on his website and even hear/get a free download of a remix track
A good end to the working week, well almost at the Darwin Sailing Club with Peter and Jayshree. I very much enjoyed a plate of Salmon and Prawn Caesar Salad.
