This is the photo blog of Stephen Michael Barnett, now working in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
It is a grab bag of things, personal interests etc illustrated with my digital photos.
I was asked to take as few shots of some of the committee at the Darwin Sailing Club on Thursday evening (See them at this link) and joined Jayshree and Peter and some friends for dinner and drinks
We drove to Litchfield National Park and had a really great day. The weather was largely kind to us and as its been a long wet WET we saw lots of wonderful waterfalls. We had a short break in Batchelor and then went to Florence Falls, Buley Rock Hole, saw the Magnetic Termite mounds, Wangi and Tolmer Falls. It was a long day and all enjoyed the experience. Some tourists traveled a long way, these two were on trail bikes registered in Switzerland!
On Saturday I drove to Fogg Dam and met Terry and Pam on the way back from their stay in Kakadu. After the trip it was time in the pool for the visitors.
Terry and Pam have come up to beat the heat of Adelaide! Its certainly a lot cooler than Adelaide at the moment and in fact the rain is stopping them from seeing some of the sights of Kakadu. They have journeyed today out to Jabiru and Cooinda and found many of the access roads closed because of flooding etc. Hugh and I joined them for a meal at Stokes Hill Wharf last night.
I joined Hugh at a quiz night at the Territory Wildlife Park. There was a mix of wildlife there!! I saw at close quarters this Cane Toad Here is what they sound like care of the Queensland Museum and also Hugh's workmate Rod's sons were having fun outside as well!!
