I have now posted information about Staislaw Ostoja-Kotkowski at www.crookedmirror.com/soundandlight

Stan was one of Australia's great artists whose work has largely been dismissed. I believe the reason for this is that he was excellent at all he did. The art world in Australia likes to put an artist in a pigeon hole, neatly defined as a painter, a musician, a writer etc. Stan moved easily from one discipline to another and was too hard to confine to a simple definition.

It is good to see that there is a developing interest in his work and i am sure that he will take his place amongst the pioneers of art in the twentieth century. If he had worked in places other than Australia he would be in every book on art produced since the second half of the twentieth century.

Dr Ian MacdonaldAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810117.post-1143462515476205522006-03-27T21:58:00.000+09:302006-03-27T21:58:00.000+09:30Hello,We live in Stans old house in the Adelaide h...Hello,

We live in Stans old house in the Adelaide hills and I've collected quite a bit of info on him.
